Problem

There is water underneath the furnace area. Everything else seems to be operating fine right now.

Possible Cause(s):

Sounds like a drain back up. Over time drains can get full of crud that will back up the drain line. It's good to regularly flush out drain lines or blow them out with compressed air, and every 5-10 years to look at replacing them with fresh lines. Try disconnecting the drain line from the furnace and if you have a humidifier, from that too. Blow through them and see if you feel a restriction. You can pour some bleach down to help fight any growth.

If you see a lot of water it is probably from the humidifier (if during the winter) or from the Air Conditioner (if during the summer)

If this is the Air Conditioner coil pan leaking, unscrew the drain spud from the air conditioner coil (which usually sits above the furnace). Stick something in there like a pencil and shake it around to disturb any dust or build up... Watch out because a lot of water may drain out once you clear the restriction.
